Arturo Féliz-Camilo


Arturo Féliz-Camilo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He has a LLB “Magna Cum Laude” (Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, UASD. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) A professional interpreter certification (LLU, Monterrey, CA) and a Master’s degree (Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, PUCMM)

He’s spent some time studying apologetics at Santo Domingo’s Catholic seminary “Santo Tomas de Aquino” and for years has devoted time and research to popular religious beliefs, traditions and myths.

In 2010 he started the traditional Dominican cooking site, one of the region’s most popular recipe sites.

He writes about food, recipes, Catholic apologetics, traditional Dominican mythology and folk tales. His cookbooks have made him the most popular Dominican food writer in the United States. He’s also the Dominican food author with the most sales today.

He’s married and lives in Santo Domingo with this wife and three children. Camila, his first born, has illustrated some of his books.
